  2.    This isn't really the logical place to start as the
  3. menu consists of all the other pics mapped onto objects,
  4. but it provides a rather neat link to the last section so
  5. here we go. Yes, the menu shows another use for the
  6. rippley effect (this has nothing to do with Sigourney!!!)
  7. which forms the light background for the other objects.
  8. The maps are generally quite dark, and the contarst
  9. between them and the background is essential for a menu
  10. screen, where all the options need to be clear. The most
  11. time consuming part of this screen, was converting all the
  12. rendered mode 15 pics to mode 13, so I could use them as
  13. maps. As always, ChangeFSI is essential for this sort of
  14. work (and is reccomended!).

  20.    As I've already said, this is a heavily detailed scene,
  21. consisting of objects that have been designed seperately,
  22. and then dragged into view. This sort of pic can only be
  23. produced by hard work, although the use of a spot light
  24. inside the angle poise lamp, really completed the picture.
